Tell us about the problem
Describe what you have noticed and where the property is. You do not have to take readings, test the system or identify the source. Tell us whether the property is residential or commercial, and mention any access restrictions.
Confirm the job and appointment
We confirm coverage, the reported problem and the agreed work. For the residential package, the total is £1,350 including any applicable tax. Commercial work is quoted separately.
Secure the booking with £100
Once the appointment is confirmed, we send a payment link for the £100 booking deposit. It is part of the price, leaving £1,250 remaining. Enquiring through the website does not take a payment or confirm an appointment.
Investigate with suitable equipment
The engineer considers the symptoms, accessible plumbing and system arrangement. Suitable tests help narrow the search, with thermal imaging, acoustic listening, tracer gas or other methods used where appropriate.
Agree access and repair the plumbing
When the evidence supports a source, the engineer explains the opening or excavation required. The package includes that access, the plumbing repair, parts and materials. There is no separate hourly charge simply because the agreed residential work takes longer.
Test, report and explain the result
Appropriate post-repair testing follows the plumbing work. The Trace & Access report records the investigation and relevant findings. The plumbing repair comes with a 12-month workmanship warranty.

Questions before the visit
How much is the deposit?
Once we have confirmed the job and appointment, we provide a payment link for a £100 booking deposit. It is deducted from the £1,350 total, leaving £1,250. An enquiry alone does not reserve an appointment or take payment.
Will I have to find the leak myself?
No. Describe what you have noticed and let the engineer investigate. You do not need to test the system, take meter readings or select specialist equipment before enquiring. Existing reports and photos can help if you already have them.
What happens if the work takes longer?
There is no separate hourly charge simply because the agreed residential investigation and repair takes longer. The property, reported problem and job scope are confirmed before booking. Separate commercial instructions receive a quotation.
Will floors and walls need to be opened?
Specialist tracing helps identify where access is justified. A concealed pipe still needs to be physically reached to repair it, which may mean opening a floor, wall, ceiling or external surface. We discuss the access with you first.
