What does the £1,350 price include?
For an agreed residential job, £1,350 covers investigation, specialist detection, tracing, necessary access or excavation, the plumbing repair, parts, materials, post-repair testing and a Trace & Access report. The plumbing repair has a 12-month workmanship warranty. The total includes any applicable tax. Decorative and remedial reinstatement is excluded.
How much is the deposit?
Once we have confirmed the job and appointment, we provide a payment link for a £100 booking deposit. It is deducted from the £1,350 total, leaving £1,250. An enquiry alone does not reserve an appointment or take payment.
Will I have to find the leak myself?
No. Describe what you have noticed and let the engineer investigate. You do not need to test the system, take meter readings or select specialist equipment before enquiring. Existing reports and photos can help if you already have them.
Is the repair included, or just the detection?
The residential package includes both detection and the plumbing repair, along with the access required for the agreed work. We explain the proposed opening before proceeding, then carry out appropriate checks after the repair.
What happens if the work takes longer?
There is no separate hourly charge simply because the agreed residential investigation and repair takes longer. The property, reported problem and job scope are confirmed before booking. Separate commercial instructions receive a quotation.
Will floors and walls need to be opened?
Specialist tracing helps identify where access is justified. A concealed pipe still needs to be physically reached to repair it, which may mean opening a floor, wall, ceiling or external surface. We discuss the access with you first.
What is excluded?
Restoring tiling, flooring, plaster, paint, decoration, cabinetry, paving, landscaping and other decorative or remedial finishes is excluded. Building drying, roofing and unrelated building work are not part of the advertised plumbing package. Commercial work is quoted separately.
Can I give the report to my insurer?
Yes. The Trace & Access report records the investigation and relevant findings for you to submit. Cover, any excess, reimbursement and approval requirements depend on your policy and insurer. The report does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted.
Do you investigate commercial premises?
Yes. Business premises, larger shared systems and commercial instructions are assessed individually. Tell us about the site, operating hours, water systems and access requirements so we can agree a suitable quotation.
Which areas do you cover?
Our coverage includes the same 84 listed towns and districts across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, London, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire. Coverage is selective within each region; appointments are confirmed for the full address and postcode.
Can you guarantee finding a leak without any damage?
No method can promise that every pipe fault will be pinpointed without opening anything. Testing conditions, isolation, pipe layout and access all affect the investigation. Our approach is to gather evidence before agreeing targeted access.
Can you attend immediately?
Contact us with your postcode and symptoms to check availability. A same-day attendance, same-day completion or 24-hour response is not guaranteed. If there is an immediate danger, use the appropriate emergency service rather than waiting for an enquiry response.
