Check what the bill is measuring
A change in household use, a longer billing period or an estimated reading can affect a bill. Compare the information your supplier provides and ask them about readings you do not understand. A high bill is a reason to investigate, not proof of a damaged buried pipe.
Invisible use can still be inside the building
A toilet, appliance or automatic water system can use water without a tap running. If your supplier has already assessed the property, keep its findings available. A specialist can consider internal plumbing and the private incoming supply together.
Share information already available
A supplier leak notification, previous repair record or known shared supply can change the approach. If you have meter observations, share them, but there is no requirement to take readings or diagnose the problem before contacting Flow Tracker.
Finding the source before opening the ground
Suitable isolation checks can help establish the affected section. Acoustic listening or tracer testing may then help narrow a buried route. The investigation aims to support a sensible access decision before a drive or garden is opened.
What to tell us when you enquire
Tell us if the supply is shared, crosses neighbouring land or runs beneath a finished drive. Any known valve positions and previous repairs are useful, but you do not have to locate them yourself.
