Explain where the water appears
A drip beneath a boiler is different from unexplained pressure loss with dry surroundings. Tell the relevant engineer what you can see without removing covers or touching internal components. Water may track along a pipe, so its exit point does not automatically identify the faulty part.
Use the appropriate engineer for the appliance
Boiler internals and gas appliance work require the appropriate competence. Do not dismantle the boiler yourself. Flow Tracker’s concealed water-pipe investigation does not substitute for diagnosing or servicing the appliance.
When the investigation moves to the pipework
If previous checks point towards a concealed heating leak, suitable isolation and pressure testing can help focus the search. Thermal inspection, tracer gas and other appropriate methods may then assist with tracing the affected route. Share earlier engineer findings when enquiring.
Confirm what is being repaired
The residential package concerns the agreed investigation, access and plumbing repair. Boiler servicing, unrelated component work and decorative reinstatement should not be assumed to be included. The job scope is confirmed before a booking deposit is requested.
What to tell us when you enquire
Tell us about any previous boiler assessment and whether there are separate zones or underfloor heating. No home testing is required; the engineer will advise on the conditions useful for the visit.
